Practice-oriented scientific research comprises all the research that takes place in the 6 departments and in AP's Innovation Lab. This research aligns with the areas of expertise of the departments and the Innovation Lab. The Innovation Lab focuses on multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary themes bringing together a wide range of expertise, including expertise from research in the arts.
Research in the Arts comprises the research activities of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and the Royal Conservatoire (together also called the Schools of Arts). The themes of research in the arts stem from the various artistic disciplines.
