Campus life

On our campuses you'll find everything you need to study. Whether it's perfecting your skills in our high-tech training rooms or relaxing with fellow students in our many lounge areas. And the fun doesn't stop there. Because across town there's even more to discover.

Practice makes perfect

AP University of Applied Sciences and Arts is constantly innovating. All our campuses are equipped with state-of-the-art training rooms where our students can perfect their skills and get a real taste of their future working environment.

From a hospital ward, a delivery room, a small-scale chemical plant, a food lab and tv and radio studios, to dance, music and sports halls and even a ground-breaking immersive lab ... You name it, we've got it!

Life on campus

  • Looking for a place to study? In the libraries and throughout the campuses you'll find quiet spots and cosy corners where you can work (together). Most campuses also have small project spaces which you can book to work on group projects.
  • Feeling hungry or thirsty? In the student restaurants you can bring your own lunch or buy drinks, snacks, sandwiches, soups or salads. Some locations also have warm meals on the menu.
  • Need some peace and quiet? Several campuses have a quiet space which you can use to reflect, meditate, pray or unwind. This space is open to everyone and not linked to a specific religion or ideology.

Welcome to the neighbourhood

Campus Spoor Noord is our biggest campus. It’s located within walking distance of the trendy Eilandje district and has the vibrant Park Spoor Noord as its backyard. The newest kid on the block is campus Hallen (expected in 2024) which will house around 3.500 students from our STEM-programmes.

On a stone’s throw from the historic heart of Antwerp and the famous shopping street De Meir you’ll find Campus Meistraat, Campus Lange Nieuwstraat and the iconic Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp. The Royal Conservatoire Antwerp is located a little further South in another architectural gem: campus deSingel.

So no matter where you end up studying, there’s always plenty to discover on your doorstep.

Getting around

All our campuses are located in the heart of the city and are easily accessible on foot, by bike or with public transport.

  • Bus, tram and metro stops are scattered throughout the city.
  • Trains stop in the iconic Central Station, which is worth a visit even if you don’t take the train. It dates back to 1905 and has been voted one of the most beautiful in the world on several occassions.
  • A bicycle or scooter is a quick and eco-friendly way to get around the city. There are many sharing systems to choose from, but Velo is Antwerp’s most widely used. You’ll find these red bikes near every campus.
