Additional Support and Meditation in inclusive Education
The European ASuMIE-project, funded by Erasmus+ KA2, wants to share knowledge and create a network around the concept of additional support in inclusive education.
The project "Inclusive Playgrounds: Teacher Training Programme" (PINC), aimed at students in Education and Sports Sciences, has as its main objective to design and develop training that provides them with skills to facilitate inclusion in recreational environments during childhood.
This exploratory study maps the support provided by personal assistants without family ties to adults with intellectual disabilities. It examines the impact the personal assistant has on the budget holder's quality of life. In doing so, the support model of the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD) is used, with a particular focus on the participation dimension.
