Luka graduated as a midwife from Artesis Hogeschool Antwerp in 2012 and obtained her MSc in Nursing and Midwifery from the University of Antwerp in 2014. She then worked as a midwife at the fertility clinic GZA Sint-Augustinus (Wilrijk) and in the private practice of Prof. De Loecker and Dr. Geysenbergh (Antwerp). Since 2016, she has been employed at AP University of Applied Sciences and Arts as a lecturer-researcher in the Midwifery program. Both in education and research, she experiments with immersive technology. International collaborations in education, healthcare, and virtual reality are her passion! Additionally, since 2016, she has been working as a practical assistant at the University of Antwerp in the Master's program in Nursing and Midwifery, specifically in the specialization 'Midwife Specialist'.
