Frederik Marain holds a degree in Philosophy as well as a degree in Economics (KU Leuven). He later followed an MBA Strategy at the Vlerick Leuven Gent Business School. From 1988 to 1996 he was business editor at the Economie editorial office of De Standaard, where he closely followed news and trends in Belgian and international business. After eight years he left the paper and became editor in chief/publisher at the Flemish Internet media company Planet Internet Belgium, a media company he co-founded.

Tom Peeters graduated as a Master of Industrial Sciences, specialized in Electronics-ICT (Thomas More, Campus Geel). He started in 2003 as a software engineer and project manager for Agfa-Gevaert. Since 2009 he is lecturer software and web development for the educational programme of Electronics-ICT (AP University College).

After the Master's in Communication (KU Leuven), Silvia Van Aken (Ph.D) gained years of project experience in the broad communication sector (government, non-profit and profit). In 2007 she started as a lecturer (communication, research, change management via new media, design theories such as designing for behavioural change) and researcher visual studies (LUCA School of Arts Genk). She supervised student projects around 360° video, AR (Google Glass), interactive stories, e.g.

Koen Vanherle is teacher, researcher and international coordinator in the nutrition and dietetics programme.
